A week ago, a significant event began. The staff or the university didn’t plan this event. The event wasn’t on any schedule here on earth. This event wasn’t even discussed through the congregation of those attending chapel on Wednesday, the 8^th of February, 2023. This event was on God’s calendar. News Organizations have not once mentioned it on their broadcast or their websites, even though a Revival has been occurring 24/7 at Asbury University in Wilmington, Kentucky, for a week.

If it were not for friends posting about it on social media sites and talking about it in close circles, I would not even know this was happening. Despite Mainstream Media not reporting on this, the word has gotten out. People from all over the country have made their way or are still making their way to Wilmington, KY, to participate in something so powerful and significant that only God could plan.

So why does mainstream media talk about all the problems of this world but never give us solutions? They do not want to show us the answers to all our problems. They do not believe that God is the answer. God provides us with solutions to all of life’s issues in the bible, and this revival is touching many people. God Loves you. Jesus loves you, and as my pastor said during his sermon, You Matter!

Romans 1:28-32 gives us a great description of our media today and those who are intent on not talking about God. “And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.”

God’s words are all we need to understand why people do not and will not relate to God or pursue a relationship with Him. They do not want us to choose anyone but them, yet we must ensure that we choose God and Jesus Christ over this world 100% of the time. There are so many good things that God is doing in this world, yet the media only portrays evil and danger, causing us to be anxious about the workings of this world and to be afraid. God tells us not to be afraid. To put our cares and worries upon Him.  

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Lean on God, and allow Him to show you the truth of this world and your life. If you are ready to accept God and His work in your life, get on your knees and pray. Ask him to come into your life, reveal what He wants you to do, and ask Jesus to work on your behalf for the forgiveness of our Father.

            Father God, we are thankful for the revival you are showing us. We are grateful for all you have given us, forgiven us for, and blessed to be in your presence during this time of great need in this country and our world. May it become a global revival, not for our good but for Your good, worship of You.
